Round is the most classic pendant shape. Maximum brilliance from every angle, reads clearly at collarbone length, and pairs with any setting style. Oval and emerald cuts are increasingly popular, particularly in Georgian bezel settings, and both work well set east-west for a more architectural look. Pear shapes create a natural drop effect and tend to elongate the neckline. Radiant cuts offer a similar rectangular profile to emerald but with significantly more sparkle. Our pendants come on adjustable chains set at 16 or 18 inches. 16 inches sits at or just below the collarbone, the most versatile length for pendants and the most flattering against most necklines. 18 inches falls a few inches lower, which works well for layering and leaves more space between the necklace and the neckline of most tops.

Tennis necklaces are available in 16, 17, and 18 inch lengths and can be custom-ordered to any length. For tennis necklaces, 16 to 17 inches is standard: long enough to sit comfortably without shifting, short enough to keep the diamonds centered at the collarbone.

If you're layering multiple necklaces, it’s typically recommended to vary the lengths by at least 2 inches for clean visual separation.

Prices vary considerably by style, carat weight, and individual stone size. Here's what to expect across the main categories.

Solitaire pendants start under $1,000 for a classic 1 carat stone and scale with carat weight. At 2 to 3 carats, expect $1,500 to $2,500. The gap versus mined diamonds grows quickly: a 1 carat F/VS natural diamond solitaire pendant runs $5,000 to $6,500 at reputable retailers. At 2 carats, natural F/VS equivalents typically run $12,000 to $18,000 or more. For the same diamond quality, you're paying five to ten times more.

Tennis necklaces start around $4,500 to $6,000 for a petite or classic size with small diamonds, and scale up with both total carat weight and individual stone size. Mid-range styles in the 10 to 15 CTW range run $7,000 to $9,000. Larger tennis necklaces in the 30 to 40 CTW range run $15,000 to $20,000.

The mined diamond comparison for tennis necklaces scales exponentially as the individual stone size increases. At 5 CTW with smaller diamonds, a comparable natural diamond tennis necklace in F/VS quality runs approximately $13,000 to $18,000. You can find options closer to $8,000 to $10,000, but you’re looking at diamonds of significantly lower quality, typically H-I color and SI clarity. 

At 10 CTW, mined diamond equivalents run $24,000 to $30,000+. At 20 CTW with larger individual stones, a natural diamond tennis necklace of comparable quality reaches $60,000 to $80,000 or more. Lower-quality options exist in the $25,000 to $40,000 range, but the tradeoff is visible: H-I color and SI clarity read noticeably different from F/VS at this scale.

At the statement end of the collection, a diamond tennis necklace with 1 carat per stone in lab grown starts around $30,000. The natural diamond equivalent could be in the $350,000-$500,000 range or more. For equivalent F/VS quality diamonds, you might be looking at $750,000 or above.  That is not a rounding error. It is a category of jewelry that simply did not exist at any accessible price point before lab grown diamonds. It does now.
